We are used to taking care of every little detail on a yacht for two reasons. First, negligence often comes with huge bills for repair. Second, the yacht is a living organism, she feels our attitude and reacts to it. A well-maintained boat goes steady through most severe storms. She is the most important member of the crew after the captain.
The little dinghy also requires careful handling. We wash and store it in a locker after use to protect it from salt and ultraviolet exposure. Recently we implemented a new routine of tying the dinghy, so that the load is distributed evenly on the rings. See video below
